So I went into town yesterday afternoon. The train was empty which is really weird for the middle of the day. All afternoon I kept thinking it was Saturday, because Friday was a holiday and I usually go into town on Saturday. I think most people were a little messed up by this holiday Friday, ergo the empy train.

The weather wasn't the best, but at least the rain held back.

There wasn't too many exciting things going on, so I didn't take that many photos. There was a hockey game on at GM place, Vancouver Canucks beat the St.Louis Blues 5-3. There were a few Canucks fans roaming around the city doing fun stuff like these guys:

Shortly after arriving in town I went to a camera store to meet up with my Journalist friend J. for coffee, but I found the place closed. Most everything else was open except the camera store.

So I wandered around Robson St. Bought a magazine and searched for a decent coffee shop in which I could sit and have a coffee, read and people watch. No such luck, the decent coffee shops were packed with people. I had to settle for a coffee shop way further down the road with yucky coffee.

So yeah, not to sound like a bummer or anything, but yesterday afternoon I was in a bit of a funk. I guess it was the weather and the fact that I've really been wanting to take some good photos.

On a brighter note however, I did manage to capture this week's fashion violation! Check this out:

I called the fashion police right away as soon as I spotted these two. They arrived right away and busted them on the spot, but then they had to release them because as it turns out they were minors. They might not be so lucky next time.

By the end of the day I was a little tired, so I sat on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery and enjoyed some Spanish Classical guitar by these guys:

I'm gonna go do some Ebay stuff now. Adios!

Good Mornin'!

The weather's been a little crappy this morning, but it's finally clearing a little. I think I'm going to venture downtown this afternoon with a camera.

Off I go.

-Bye.

Hey, It's the Buffy and Angel bus!!!

I saw this down town last weekend and I had to get a photo of it for my friend L.

I went to physiotherapy again this morning. I usually go there every Friday morning, but I went today because it's Good Friday tomorrow and I think everything is closed.

This time I brought the Canon G2 with me and got a few shots of the devices the physiotherapist uses on me (I know, I'm such a geek). First he hooks me up to this device that looks like a Walkman, only it's much more dangerous. It pumps out a huge amount of voltage (I'd hate to be the poor person who mixes the two up some day). The said device (I call it the Sony Shockman) has two rubber pads that make contact with the muscles in my legs and when he turns up the voltage my muscles flex--just like at the gym--enough to promote muscle recovery and growth. I like it, but it hurts a little too.

I go to physio because last year I developed a type of arthritis in my knees. It got so bad that sometimes I couldn't walk. I've come a long way since then, now my legs are strong again, a factor of the specialized exercises I've had to do in physiotherapy. As long as I continue to exercise from now on I'll be fine.

After physio I usually go to this little restaurant in Port Moody for breakfast. This is the owner P. She's really funny and she's very kind. She's always helping people.

P really likes taking pictures too. I've seen a lot of them and some of them are pretty amazing. She likes rainbows a lot.

I think tonight I'm going to get busy and get some more items ready for Ebay this weekend.

It's James MARSTERS, not Marsten, people!

Ok, that's better; I went for a good bike ride tonight and got the exercise I needed. I hit some muddy areas and went down a big grassy slope, so I got pretty dirty too. It's all fun though. I'm the one who has to do my laundry, so no biggy.

I just stuffed myself with good food and now I'm checking out a funny website. I found out form my best friend L. today that "Spike" (James Marsters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has a rock band called "Ghost of the Robot". They've just released a CD called "Mad Brilliant" and you can check out the official band webpage here.

L. absolutely loves Spike so I'm making a CD for her of some of the song samples they've released at the band's Website. I was really surprised to find out that he was in a band. I didn't know he could sing. For the record, I don't love Spike the way Lisa does, I love women. But I do think spike is damn cool and really funny.

Ok, I'm off to get some things done. It's been a slow week for me on Ebay this week. I'm hoping it'll pick up by the weekend.

-G'nite!

Bloody hell. It's raining like crazy outside again today. I've really been wanting to get out and get some exercise or something, but yeah, too wet out.

I think I'm going to go to the gym tonight though. I'm restless.

Hey, this is amazing! Although I'm sure there's a good mathematical explanation somewhere you gotta try it out, you'll freak!

Mind reading crystal ball

Today turned out not too bad. My parents bought me lunch at IHOP. I had German style crepes (my favorite, they have lemon and icing sugar on them). Then I walked around in the mall with them for a while.

After that I met up with L. and had coffee. I'm going to her place tonight to watch Angel and Buffy.

The weather hasn't been very nice here lately, so I haven't gone out with my camera since the weekend. I'm itching to go somewhere though and take some interesting photos. Hopefully we'll get sun soon.

Back later,

Ciao!

Aaaarg! Today I was awakened by my front door buzzing. I thought it must be a courier with a package or something, so I lept out of bed, tried to pull some jeans on, put a shirt on and ran to the door.

"Would you be interested in reading our magazine?" It was three little old JW women! I jumped out of bed for a copy of "The Watchtower"?

After that, I came back inside and the phone rang. It was my mom. They're coming over to my place. My place is a little messy, and I haven't even eaten breakfast yet.

So it's going to be one of those days then is it?

Hmmm. Not too much happened today.

I've been going through my inbox and reading some really old (3 years or more) email. I realized by looking at my old letters that I've chanced since then. Do we continue changing [growing] for the rest of our lives? I guess life experience must play a part in how and why we change.

I'm in a very deep and philisophical mood tonight.

I need to watch an episode of the Simpsons. That'll shift everything back into perspective.

G'nite.

D'oh!

Today (Sunday) was not as busy. I spent most of the day listing things on Ebay and answering email inquiries from customers. It was raining cats and dogs all day. Yuck. I went to the mall to get a coffee but it was really busy there. I hate it when it's packed like that (I'm not the kind of person who likes big crowds of people pressing me) so I skipped the coffee and went to Roger's Video and picked up a movie. "Stealing Harvard" with Tom Green. It was pretty funny. Tom Green totally cracks me up! I'm not sure why, but he does.

I had my best friend L. over for dinner tonight. We usually do dinner every Sunday and enjoy a movie. Tonight we had fish with tigerprawns, veggies, croissants and rice. She brought desert which was a pecan pie style of pie. I can't remember the name of it, but it was very tasty indeed!

I hope the weather improves soon, it's been raining a lot lately. I guess this is the rainy season for Vancouver and area. Those of you in Seattle can relate I'm sure.

Ok, I'm off to bed now.

Good night.

I sure had a busy weekend again. Yesterday (Saturday) I went down town Vancouver and got my hair cut finally. I'm such a geek that I brought my camera along. I set it on the counter in the hair salon and used the remote controller for the G2 to snap these photos. I've been going to the same salon for a few years, so the hair dresser is totally accustomed to my wacky behavior.

Before that I met up with my friend J (the Journalist guy) and had coffee and a blueberry teacake muffin at my favorite coffee shop. He's been in Europe for a few weeks and he just got back last Monday.
