I've been working on a design for the "Trees for Life 10K FunRun" event, for the past few days. It's a 10K fun run event that my boss developed. It's a lot of fun and there was a really good turn out last year. As some of you may already know, I was the photographer for that event last September. I'm going to be the photographer again this year, but my boss asked me if I could also come up with an advertisement--something he could email to everyone. He gave me the old design to work one, and I changed the whole thing. He seems quite happy with the new design, and we've discussed and applied changes to it over the past few days.

Here is the unofficial advertisement that I've been working on (I've had to compress the image size so it would fit here):

I've never seen this happen before! I didn't know pigeons kissed! I was watching this male pigeon chase a female around for about 10 minutes, when all of a sudden he just leaned over and kissed her!

How cute is that!? Get a room!

I also spotted this Falcon flying overhead. What a beautiful bird! I wish I could have shot a better photo, but he was extremely fast.

I'm up really late (it's actually 3:30 in the morning!) And that's because I did it again! I came home after work with every intention of getting busy with some yoga and a few assignments, and I sat down at the computer and fell asleep. At that point, all I could do was take a nap. Unfortunately, I woke up at 10:00pm. Now I'm wide awake. Grrrr! I wish I had an espresso alarm that would automatically feed me a quick shot when that happens. At least I went to the gym yesterday though. If I'm not too tired, I'll try to go again tonight.

-Ciao!

I was walking around the Vancouver Art Gallery with my journalist friend J.S. when I suddenly saw this guy go flying by me on his bike and jump down the stairs at Robson Square!! I was so amazed I just yelled "Dude! That was SO COOL!!!" He's Warren, and he's one skilled rider! He kindly offered to do it again so I could get a good photo. He did the stunt several more times and so J. and I both got some good shots. Here he is:

Just in case you're wondering, this is not a continuous sequence of shots from the same jump, these are all separate jumps! Nicely done Warren!
