Last night I drove to Langley to pick up a computer tool kit from my parents house. On the way back home I decided to head into White Rock to see if I could catch the sun setting. It's beautiful out there.

So I got there just as the sun was going behind the hill at the west end of White Rock. I brought the camera and took a bunch of photos.

Being there made me think more about my lovely J.S. from Ontario and I wished she was there with me to see the sun set. (Hi J.S.! I'll send you the full sized photos on CD.) There were a lot of people there last night, especially on the pier. There's always a few people setting up crab traps at the end of the pier. I walked the length of the beach and then headed back to my car. It was dark by then.

When I got home I set the computer to download some more upgrades and went to bed. The upgrades are almost done now and then I have to transfer the files from the other hard drives.

I was tired when I got up for work this morning. I decided to ride my bike to work though instead of driving the car. I've been getting a bit lazy by taking the car to work lately. I really should ride there when the weather is nice.

It's friday and I'm glad it's the weekend! I'm not too sure what I'm doing yet this weekend though. The forcast is calling for clouds and possible showers, so I'll just have to see what happens.

Bye for now.

The new Hard drive is in now and the new operating system is in place. The biggest task ahead now is transfering all my important files from the old hard drives over to the new one. I also have to update all the hardware drivers and download the operating system's service pack updates. Some of those files are very large and I'm still using dial up, so it's going to take some time. My nephew offered to help by connecting the system to his high-speed internet connection. That would definitely speed things up. I should be getting high-speed soon. I'd like to use ADSL, but it isn't available in my area (it certainly should be) so I have to settle for high-speed cable.

Everything will be back to normal soon and my computer will be running smoothly.

I'm off to bed now. Work tomorrow again.

Ciao!

It's Tuesday night.

Today I took a day off work and slept in late. I needed to because I wasn't feeling well. Also, last night Silvie (my cat) kept waking me up when someone's cat came to the window. It happened about 3 or 4 times from about midnight to 1:00AM. She would just freak out and yowl and hiss like crazy. Of course then Sarah (one of my other cats) would get involved and there would be a big inhouse cat fight going on. Not a pleasant thing to wake up to on a work night.

After I had some breakfast, I went into town and exchanged a malfuntioning CF card from my Canon G2 for a new one. They gave me a new one free of charge, but the best thing that happened to me today was that they were able to retrieve most of the image files from the defective card. I tried and tried but could not do it. So I'm really happy because those were pictures of my lovely J.S. from Ontario and my best friend L. I thought those images were gone forever, but now I have them on CD. Sweet!

In other news, I'm going to be doing some upgrade work on my computer over the next few days. My system will be down for a little while. It's a much needed upgrade in which I will be replacing the two older hard drives with one big new one and a new (and hopefully improved) operating system. I'm hoping there will be far less crashes after that.

Ok, I'm off to bed now.

Gnite!

It's Sunday morning. I've been up since 7:00 am and I didn't fall asleep until around 2:30 am. I couldn't sleep very well last night. Today I'm going to head out to Langley BC to visit my parents. My granny is there from the Okanagan for a few days. But first I think I'll eat some fruit for breakfast and then take a drive to Tim Hortons for some coffee and doughnuts. I don't really drink very much coffee anymore--green tea is my preference--but the occasional coffee is still alright.

Maybe I'll bring the 'big camera' along with me to Langley in case I see some nice scenery. There are some nice farmlands further out along the way. If I can find horses I'll take some nice photos of them. The lovely J.S. and I saw a mini horse yesterday on our way to White Rock. It was cute. But we both agreed that it makes more sense to own a full sized horse. The mini horses cost as much as a full sized one, so why not get the full sized one? Heehee! Which reminds me, I want to go see that new movie Seabiscuit. We saw a preview of it at the movies on Thursday night. It looks great.

Ok I'm off to get some breakfast.

ciao!
