This morning I couldn't seem to log on my journal, I think it was down or something. It's working now though.

Today was a pretty good day. The yard sales this morning weren't too great though. There didn't seem to be that many of them, and the prices weren't too good.

After the yard sale hunting was over I picked up some Timbits* and coffee and I went to my best friend L.'s work place and had lunch with her. After that, I drove out to Langley to see the great big car show. There was some pretty nice cars there. I took photos of my favorites. I'll post some here when I upload them, but I think I'll also creat a link to the whole volume of photos so that anyone to wants to can view them all.

After the car show I went to my parent's place for dinner. Unfortuantely my stomach became very upsat a little while after. I'm not certain why, but I think something I ate did not agree with me. I have a very delicate stomach and so I have to be careful with what I eat. It's frustrating some times.

Well, I guess I should get busy. I have to install a new network router and then I'm going to start processing these car show photos.

*The phenomenally successful Timbit (bite-sized donut hole) was introduced to the chain in 1976. Customers can buy these bite-sized treats in whatever quantity they prefer, with most people favoring the Snack Pack™ of 20 Timbits or the Family Pack™ of 45 Timbits.

Customers may find that the selection of donuts and Timbits vary slightly between Tim Hortons stores. This is because, while every store must carry some "required" varieties, they may also choose from many optional varieties to best meet the needs - and tastebuds - of their store's customers.

Oh boy, it's hot today! I was working mostly out on the street, doing pruning and stuff. I nearly melted. I'm ready for the cooler weather now, as long as it doesn't rain too much. I saw these people on little scooters today while I was in the big work truck. I had my camera with me, so I shot a pictures through the truck windshield.

At lunch time we found a nice cool spot in a park. I had two fillet-o-fish burgers and some fries for lunch because I was too tired last night to make a lunch for the next day. I don't really like fast food, but I was pretty hungry. A few crows began to gather around where I was sitting. I didn't want my fries, so I gave them to the crows.

I like crows. They're very fascinating to me.

They gobbled up my fries quickly and effectively.

When I returned to the main works yard today there was a new truck there for us. It's pretty nice; leather interior, air conditioning--the whole works. I'm not sure who gets to drive it yet though.

Here's some of the guys checking it out:

Here's some more photos from the weekend.

This is me with the medium format Mamiya C-330 camera. My friend A. took these photos with my digital camera.

It sure is a lot of fun using the big camera. I hope my photos turn out nice.

Cows Crossing!

Here's some acorns I got at work today. I had to trim a large oak tree. I didn't see any squirrels around, but they would have loved these!

I'm off to bed now. Happy Friday everyone! Gnite.

What a full weekend I had; it was great! My trip to Steveston with my friend A. was fun.
What a beautiful place it is there. There's ocean view, huge grassy fields, a small village and a big marina with lots of commercial fishing boats.

I took lots of photos with the digital camera, but I also brought along the medium format as well. I won't see the results from the medium format for at least a week though.

Here's some of the digital images:

Two shots from the warf:

Two old guys at the beach:

Here's some beautiful flowers I found in the middle of a huge grassy field. It was very windy there that day, so if you can imagine it, these big flowers were blowing around:

Here's me crouching beside the flowers:

This is a shot of the big open field. It's wonderful. The sky was a vivid dark blue:

Here's some Steveston cows. These are the coolest cows! They have a big white ring aorund them:

Today (Moday) I went into town with my nephew R. and I took a bunch more photos. Mostly I used the medium fomat camera. I've been taking advantage of all the free time I had this weekend and bringing the medium format along. I haven't used it much since I bought it a few months ago, so I decided it was time to give it a good workout.

I hope this week goes by quickly, it should because it's only a 4 day work week.

I just noticed it's midnight already, so I better be off to bed.

Good night.
