Well, Here I am at the end of my one week vacation. Bummer. The time flew by! So I'm back to work next week. I do have 2 more weeks of holidays this year though and I haven't booked them yet, so I have to do that as soon as I get back.

I've had a great week. I decided not to go for a trip to the Okanagan after all. I didn't quite trust the weather on the way there, and I didn't want to buy snow tires for my car having just spent a huge amount of money on it already.

Today I went on a day trip with my best friend L. to downtown Vancouver. We had lunch at one of our favorite little diners called "Sil Vous Plait". It's a simple little place with really good, basic food. The best part is the little hunk of cornbread you get with every meal. Their corn bread is amazing! I've tried to make it myself several times, but I've not been able to get it quite like theirs.

Aahh! It's nice being on Vacation! Even though it's raining, I'm still managing to find all kinds of things to entertain myself. Today I went into town and met up with my friend J. (the journalist, not my lovely J.S. from Ontario) and we ended up going to a movie. We saw Veronica Guerin. It's very harsh movie (in my opinon about a journalist, Veronica Guerin, who tries to expose the druglords in Ireland. She gets in all kinds of trouble and sadly she gets shot. She did manage to expose the druglords and they end up in jail, but it was unfortunate that she didn't have any protection. She might have been better off as a detective rather than a journalist. She also put her family at risk.

After that I drove to Tim Hortons and had a vegetarian big bagette. It wasn't very enjoyable. Those things are really 'hit-and-miss'. Then I went to the gym for a workout. I haven't worked out since my car broke down, so it's been about 10 days. I was going to work out this morning, but I slept in. I love sleeping in.

I got my car back now. It runs like a charm--it should after $2275.00. Man, I must be crazy. I just hope it doesn't give me anymore trouble after this.

It's still raining like crazy here in Greater Vancouver. I stopped for a while today, but now it's continuing on. I'm still trying to decide if I'll take the drive up to Summerland or not. I heard the weather is not so great there either. If I do go, it will be during the middle of next week. I really do want to get away and take some photos.

The guys at work all have some kind of cold and now I'm catching it. Thanks guys, I really needed a cold. I feel it coming on (I get a funny feeling in my throat before I get a cold). I just hope it passes by the middle of next week. I might just be run down a little. I haven't been getting as much sleep as I need lately.
