I never thought it could rain this much. Bloody Hell! I got soaked today. It's raining out there like a new global flood. The bos thought that today would be a good day to send my crew out to do some street tree pruning. Needless to say, my waterproof rain-gear quickly failed--actually it works--but with my arms up in the air all day while holding tree pruning saws and things, it just funnels the water straight down my arms and up my sleeves. I got soaked. I was glad when the day was over and I got to go home.

Tomorrow after work I have to go pick up my car from the garage. It's ready now. At least I can drive to work now withough getting wet while waiting for the train.

Next week I'm on vacation! YAY!!! I still haven't fully determined what I'm going to do during my vacation yet, but I have been planning to go to the little town of Summerland B.C. If it doesn't snow, I'll probably drive there.

I updated my journal yesterday, but it wouldn't post the update. oh well, I'll do it again.

Car repair blues. I have them. I found out the other day that my car repairs will total over $2000.00 dollars! That hurts me. Rather ironic considering I just purchased a new digital SLR a few weeks ago. Sometimes I wonder if the 'powers that be' are toying with me.

But anyways, enough of my complaining.

I was at my nephew's place a few days ago and after dinner we all played that game Balderdash. That game is a riot!

My nephew's dog N. decided to try and take advantage of me while we were playing. She launched a lick attack on me and my friend T.'s cousin M. captured it with my camera.

Here's my friend's T. and K.:

Uh oh, car trouble.

I can't believe it; my car repairs are going to cost me over $2000.00! As it turns out, it's not just the transmission that needs to be fixed. It's a bunch of other things as well. I really don't know why this had to happen right after I purchased my new digital SLR camera. It's simply not fair.

I thought about just junking the car because of the repair job price, but then I think it would be a shame because it's quite a nice car. After the repairs are done, it shouldn't give me anymore problems for a while.

I went to Iona Beach Park in Richmond B.C. with my friend A. and his girlfriend today. Iona beach Park is right near the Vancouver international airport. It's actually a very pretty spot. There's all kinds of tall grasses, clean sandy beaches, driftwood and many varietys of sea birds there. It's quiet and peaceful there too. A great place to come and shoot pictures.

We spent about two hours there, then we went to the airport to watch planes and jets come in for landing on the runway. I shot some pretty cool photos of jets coming in.
