Yay! It's Friday!

This week seemed rather long to me. I think it's because I had nothing but lame jobs to do for the past five days. Oh well, it's the weekend and I'm happy.

On Sunday I'm doing a big photoshoot for a 10Km run. I have to be there to get set up at 6:00 AM. It's about a 1/2 hour drive from my house. I'm going to bring at least two cameras and variuos lenses. The coordinator of the event wants pictures of everyone as they cross the finish line, so it's a good thing I'll be brining the digital. I'm probably going to shoot about 250 to 300 shots. I'm bringing a good film camera and good zoom lens also.

Tomorrow I think I'm going to skip the yard sales and head straight into town. I have to pick up my proofs from the lab. I'm anxious to see how they turned out. It's the images I shot of the cows in Steveston a few weeks back with the Mamiya C-330 medium format camera.

Well tonight is a lot less confusing than last night was. I went to the gym right after work and worked out before I came home. That way there was no chance of falling asleep. It worked. I had a fairly decent workout too.

I watched a couple more episodes of the new Angel season 2 DVD with L. again tonight. I was out of fish so I asked her if she had any and she did, so I cooked her dinner. For those of you who don't already know it, I love fish. I'm a big fan of prawns too, as well as squids, oysters, clams and mussels.

And, if you're travels bring you to Vancouver, and if you want to try the greatest seafood restaurant in town, you really must try Joe Forte's Seafood and Chop House. They have an amazing oysterbar! They serve over 250,000 oysters a year there. It's not a cheap place to eat, but it's definitely worth it.

I think I'm going to call it an early night tonight and go to bed. It was very hard to get out of be this morning. I should have just stayed up last night.

-Ciao!

What a weird night it's been. I should be in bed right now, but I'm wide awake. It all happened like this:

After work I had every intention of going to the gym. I drove home, sat at the computer, had a bowl of soup with some toast, and checked my email. I was actually feeling very tired at that point and so for some silly reason I decided to take a very short nap. Well, that 'short' nap lasted from 5:00pm to 11:30pm. I should know by now that my body almost always lies to my brain when it is requesting a 'short nap'.

So here I am wide awake. What can I do?

Last night I watched the first episode of Angel season 2 on DVD with my friend L. It was great! We've both been waiting for months for the DVD set to come out, because neither of us have seen Angel season 2 yet. I know. I'm a geek.

My boss at work has organized a big 10Km run for this coming Sunday (Sept. 28) and I volunteered to take photos. I think about 30 people are going in the run. It's to raise money for trees for schools. In the past we would occasionally conduct a tree planting and education seminar for children at elementary schools, but our funding was cut, so my boss I trying to find other ways to raise funds. Depending on the weather, it should be a good photo oportunity.

I miss my lovely J.S. from Ontario.

Here's some photos from Saturday afternoon. My friend J. (the journalist, not my lovely J.S. form Ontario) shot these photos:

I really like the RCPM traditional uniform. It's cool!

It's been a good weekend. I went to some yardsales on Saturday morning and brought timbits and coffee for coffee break with my best friend L. after I was done with the 'yardsaling'. I really enjoy my Saturday mornings. Soon it will get cold though and the number of yardsales will diminish. At that point I'll begin looking for other things; like auctions.

Lots of my items sold on Ebay this weekend and that makes me very happy. I have a lot more items that I'm going to list there today. If you want to see my Ebay items that I'm selling you can click here, or you can click the link "My Ebay Sales" in the frame on the left.

Last night I went for dinner with my best friend L. and her friend J., who is visiting from New Brunswick)

We went to the Boat House restaurant in New Westminster which is about a 20 minute drive from my home. I had a nice wild salmon dish called 'Cedar Plate Slamon' with veggies and potatoes. The salmon was grilled with a maple flavour and local friut chutney on the side. Very yummy.
