Whiterock at 6:30AM

Here's some photos I shot in the wee hours of the morning in Whiterock. It's such a lovely place. I got there at about 6:15AM and it was low tide (but the tide was coming in quickly). There were a lot of critters just waking up on the shore.

Love how you captured the 'lightening' of the morning sky. The shot of that bird in the mirroring puddle is gorgeous. And it's interesting how much the B&W brings out the barnacles on those pier pilings. :)

Thanks K!

My favourite thing about the early morning photos is the blue color cast on everything, just before the sun appears.

Thanks 'Z' :)

Thanks Wendi! ;) Yes I know, 6:30am is a crazy time to be out-and-about. I got up at 4:30 that morning because it's a 1 hour drive to Whiterock. It didn't feel like morning, it was more like night time still. I was ok after a coffee though. When I finished shooting, I stopped in at my parent's place and my mom made me breakfast, which was very nice. I think I took a big nap that afternoon.
