It was a nice day today--relatively sunny and warm--and it didn't rain. Work and business as usually (except about half our crew is off on sick leave). My favorite part of today was lunch break. We went to the Shadbolt Center at Deer lake. It's a beautiful area, Deer Lake, and there's lots of old heritage buildings scattered around there. For those of you that don't already know, The Shadbolt Center is named after the great Canadian international artist Jack Shadbolt.
I took the camera out on my lunch break and walked down to the lake. Everything looked amazing, because there was a thin level of fog that extended up beyond the trees, and the sun was shining through the mist. I wished I could just take the rest of the day off and stay at the lake taking photos. Sadly, I get only half and hour for my lunch break. I did get these shots though:
And here's Ceperly House (Burnaby's haunted art gallery).
T. came down to the lake with me and posed for some photos:
And T. got a shot of me too:
Later, after lunch, we had to go use the crane truck to pick up some logs from a big cedar tree that a contractor cut down. We have some really big trees here on the west coast, and this tree was no exception:
I finished the afternoon tea with a nice cookie bear that I purchased from the cafeteria at the Shadbolt Center.
He didn't taste as good as he looked. That little red heart candy of his got wedged in between my teeth. Oh well. I've had worse.
Right now I'm installing a new operating system in my file server computer. It's just an old P2 300, but it will make a good file server for the big guy. I'll probably put music files on there.
Ok, I'm off to bed soon.
-Gnite.
