Look at this!:

When I was leaving work this afternoon, some of the guys and I spotted this large dragonfly perched on a stick. I had my trusty little Canon G2 with me in my back pack, so I quickly pulled it out and got some shots. I didn't have too much time, because everyone was leaving and I had to go. L. from work stayed behind and watched as I took photos of it.

A few days ago, my landlord phoned me to inform me that there were baby racoons in her back yard. There aren't too many things cuter than baby racoons* out there, so I quickly grabbed the camera and went over there to take some shots:

Here's Mamma:

And the little ones (there were three):

And off they go:

I went to Burnaby Lake Park again today, I was feeling frustrated. Nature's beauty never ceases to amaze me and always soothes my soul. I needed that today, because I was under a lot of stress.

The Canada Geese are molting right now, and they're loosing their flight feathers. They are a little vulnerable at this stage. I sat and watched them quietly, trying not to disturb them. They seemed to accept my company and continued on with their preening and relaxing.

My little (not so little anymore) niece A. is in town with her mom C. I drove out to Langley on Tuesday afternoon to see them and my parents and sister D. were there too. It was fun and dinner was nice. We had a lot of catching up to do, but not a lot of time. I hope to see them again before they leave on Friday. I got a few photos while I was there. Here's A. and I:

And here's some of A. on the road in front of my sister's house. A car drove by while we were taking these photos and the passengers threw a water balloon at us, which, luckily missed my camera. I would have had to chase them down, had my camera got soaked:

I was at the beach on Saturday, our first really hot Saturday this year. There was all kinds of interesting stuff going on and I shot lots of photos. Here are some of them. (I'll put in some descriptions at a later date, unfortunately I'm up way too late tonight (Sunday) and I gotta get up early for work.)

Did you know that every time I go into Downtown Vancouver, I see something crazy happening? Well Saturday afternoon was no exception:

No need to adjust your monitor, those really are naked people on their bikes!

I don't know why either, but here's what happened:
I was standing in my favorite photography store, Dunne and Rundle Photo Source on Granville St., and, I think I was reading a magazine or something, when I heard someone say, "Hey! There's a bunch of naked people riding their bikes down Granville Street!"

So I grabbed my camera out of my bag and ran outside just in time to catch the action! It was pretty funny, because these people must have been quite cold! It was raining all that afternoon, and it was only about 15 degrees Celcius.

Here's some more:

It was my Nephew R.'s Birthday (He's 29) on Saturday, so after I came home from Vancouver, I drove out to his place and a bunch of us went for sushi to celebrate.

I had to stay overnight at R.'s place because my headlights on my stupid piece of crap car are not working, so I can't drive at night. In the morning we went out for breakfast at White Spot. I love having breakfast there, they have really good food on the menu! I shot a picture of R. with just natural light coming in from the window:

And here's on he shot of me ( I thing I look a little evil here, but I'm actually smiling behind my hands. Don't worry; no evil here:

That's all for now. I gotta go to bed. Work tomorrow (where does the time go?).

uh oh!

You never know what could happen when a clown catches you:

(And in case you're wondering; no, that's not my bike, that's his bike.)

This was last Saturday (June 5th) at the Burnaby Hats Off Day parade. I was there to photograph the big Eco-sculpture carousel horse. It's pretty amazing. It was built by some of the people I work with.

Here's some more clowns. At first there was only two, but then one of them started honking his horse and suddenly, from out of nowhere, 4 more showed up.

And here's Peanuts again:
